Dublin's Bridge Park development has changed the visual language of northwest Columbus weddings — the Scioto River waterfront, the contemporary cable-stay pedestrian bridges, and the mixed-use district character give film coverage at The Exchange at Bridge Park material that didn't exist in suburban Columbus ten years ago. The Scioto River reflection at dusk, visible from the venue's event spaces, is a visual asset that the film can build around.
Out from Bridge Park, the Dublin market returns to the suburban-to-rural spectrum: Swan Lake's lakeside pastoral, Plain City's working barn countryside, Lewis Center's newer farm-style venues. Each gives a documentary film a completely different visual language. We approach each Dublin venue on its own terms rather than applying a single Columbus-suburb aesthetic.
